Adding a Hedge

Box hedges can be added to your landscape design using the Hedge tool. Hedges are easy to add; simply draw a line indicating the path that the box hedge should follow.

To add a hedge:

1.   From the Landscape tab, click Add Hedge.

2.   Draw the hedge by clicking the left mouse button to add points. Press the Backspace key to remove the last point added, and press the Esc key to cancel. If you would like to input the distance and angle manually, place at least one point and then press Enter.

3.   To finish drawing the hedge, right-click to place the last point.

The following example uses two hedges.

Customizing the Plan View

Applies to: Plus Pro Architect

The appearance of a hedge can be customized separately in the Plan view and the Perspective view. For example, you could determine that the hedge should look realistic in the Perspective view, but stylized in the Plan view. To do this, click the Custom appearance in each view checkbox and customize the Plan view as desired.

Tips:

If you are adding a hedge to a geometric shape, such as those used in driveways and patios, it is usually best to ensure that grid snap is enabled. See Snap Settings for details.

Points can be easily added or removed from the shape of your hedge to grant more control. For more information, see Inserting and Deleting Points.
