Adding a Vertical Dimension

The Vertical Dimension object displays a vertical distance in your landscape design.

Vertical Dimensions only appear in the Perspective view, not the Plan view. They also do not appear in movies, screenshots, or Realtime Walkthroughs.

To add a Vertical Dimension:

1. From the Utilities tab, click Add Vertical Dimension.
2. Click to place the dimension. Hold Ctrl while clicking to place more than one.
3. Use the Height property to set the desired height.

In the following design, a vertical dimension is used to show the deck height.

Tips:

• Vertical dimensions are relative to the underlying terrain by default. Use the Absolute elevation option to make them relative to an elevation of 0 instead.
