Lathe Properties

Options |

Elevation |
Distance from the ground to the bottom of the object. |
Sides |
Number of sides used to create the perimeter of the lathe. |
Sweep angle |
How far the lathe is revolved. If the sweep angle is set to 360 degrees, then the lathe will form a complete circle. |
Axis offset |
Distance between the lathe’s shape and the center of the lathe. |
Closed |
Connect the last point to the first, forming a closed shape. |
Smooth |
Smooth the lathe sides. Uncheck this option for a faceted look. |
Add caps |
Add caps to both ends of the lathe. This option is only enabled when the Sweep angle is set to 360. |
Edit Points |
Enable or disable point editing mode, which will allow you to modify the shape. See Editing Points for details. |
Shape Options |
Save the current shape or load a new one. For more details, see Saving and Loading Shapes. |
Information |

Triangles |
Total number of triangles used to compose the lathe. When creating many complex lathes, it is best to keep the number of triangles as low as possible on slower computers. |
