Swimming Pool Properties

Applies to: Plus Pro Architect

For any properties not shown below, see Setting Object Properties.

Options
Height Height of the swimming pool walls. Tip: If the swimming pool is surrounded by a single Pool Decking object, then you can raise the pool and decking at the same time by adjusting the height of the pool decking.
Wall width Thickness of the swimming pool walls. The width of the walls also affects the length of the coping.
Water tint Color of the water. To disable water tinting, set the color to white. To darken the water without tinting, set the color to the desired shade of gray.
Water effect Water appearance in the Perspective view. Water can be calm, have small ripples, or even include foam (useful for creating spas and hot tubs).

Water ripples will also occur automatically when water flows into the pool from another source, such as a waterfall.
Add steam Add steam rising from the water.
Use tile from pool underneath this one When two swimming pools overlap, use the tile from the pool underneath it. For example, this can apply to a spa that is built into a swimming pool.
Use finish from pool underneath this one When two swimming pools overlap, use the finish from the pool underneath it. For example, this can apply to a spa that is built into a swimming pool.
Edit points Enable or disable point editing mode, which will allow you to modify the shape. See Editing Points for details.
Shape options Save the current shape or load a new one. For more details, see Saving and Loading Shapes.
Coping
Coping type Style of coping to place around the perimeter of the swimming pool.
Height How tall the coping is.
Overhang How far into the pool the coping extends.
Edit coping Enable or disable coping editing mode, which will allow you to modify the visibility of coping at each swimming pool edge. When coping editing mode is enabled, click the edges of your swimming pool that you want to toggle.
Infinity Edge & Glass Options (Architect)
Use same material as wall Use the same material for infinity edges as the pool wall.
Use material for entire surface Use the same material for the infinity edge and the wall beneath it. Uncheck this option to use a different material for the wall beneath the infinity edge.
Material Material to use for infinity edges.
Flowing water How fast the water cascades over all infinity edges in the pool.
Glass height For a standard (non-infinity) glass wall, this determines the height of the glass relative to the bottom of the coping. For an infinity glass wall, this determines the height of the glass relative to the water level.
Glass thickness Thickness of the glass wall. This value is automatically restricted to the wall thickness.
Edit Edges Enable infinity edge editing mode. While this mode is active, click an edge of the swimming pool to toggle the infinity edge style. Click the same edge multiple times to toggle through the available infinity edge styles.
Tile
Add tile Add tile to the swimming pool walls.
Material Material to use for the tile.
Material is a single tile Material is an image of a single tile. If the material is an image of multiple tiles, then uncheck this option and use the material size property to set the total size. For instance, if your material is a 2x2 tile image, with each tile measuring 6" (15.24 cm), then set the size to 12" (30.48 cm) to ensure the material displays properly.
Tile size Size of each tile.
Depth
Edit depths Enable or disable depth editing mode, which will allow you to modify the pool’s depth profile. See Editing Points for details.
Depth Swimming pool depth at the selected point(s).
