Deck and Railing Improvements

Decks and railings have been upgraded with new styles, improved models, and new features. Curved deck stairs are now supported, allowing for stairs that change direction by following a radius.
Curved glass panels are also supported. Top and bottom railing can now be toggled as needed and the bottom railing supports a custom offset distance. Standalone railing now supports per-point elevation changes.

New Path Tracer

Render photorealistic screenshots using the new Path Tracer. An advanced form of ray tracing, path tracing captures detailed reflections, indirect lighting, and subtle effects that make your screenshots more realistic than ever.

To use the Path Tracer, simply check the box when creating a screenshot and choose the level of detail you would like to capture.

Note: Path tracing is available only for screenshots, and not movies at this time.

Location-Based Shadows

Enter your address and the date to achieve automatic accurate shadows based on your location and time of year. The time of day can now be specified in minutes for greater precision if needed.

User Interface Improvements

UI improvements include selection highlighting, larger fonts, improved Welcome Menu, and more.

Automatic panning, which occurs when an object is dragged to the edge of the viewport, has been improved and is now customizable.
