Moving Points

Because points define the shape of an object, moving the points will change the object’s shape.

Before points can be moved, the Edit Points button must be pressed to turn on point editing mode. See Editing Points for more information.

To move a single point:

1.   Click the Move tool that is found to the left of the screen, or press the T key.

2.   Move your mouse over the point you want to move, and click the left mouse button to select it.

3.   Click the point again, but this time hold down the left mouse button as you move your mouse.

To move multiple points:

1.   Click the Move tool that is found to the left of the screen, or press the T key.

2.   While holding the Shift key, click each of the points that you want to move.

3.   Click one of the selected points again, but this time hold down the left mouse button as you move the mouse.

To nudge one or more selected points using the keyboard:

1.   Press and hold the Shift key.

2.   Press one of the arrow keys.

Tips:

Sometimes you will want to move edges, not individual points. To do this, simply click and drag the edge. The two points that form the edge will be automatically selected and moved.

Use the Undo and Redo feature to undo and redo changes to the points.
