The User Interface settings allow you to customize miscellaneous behaviors based on your preferences.
Color scheme
Change the user interface to use a
light, medium, or dark color scheme.
Highlight object under cursor
Show an outline
over an object when your mouse hovers over it. This indicates that clicking the
object will select it.
Zoom into mouse position in Plan view
Using the
Zoom tool in the Plan view will zoom into the point on the screen where
you first click the mouse button. Otherwise, the zoom will be relative to the
center of the screen.
Zoom into mouse position in Perspective
view
Using the Zoom tool in the Perspective view will zoom into
the point on the screen where you first click the mouse button. Otherwise, the
zoom will be relative to the center of the screen.
Reverse mouse zoom direction
Reverses the zoom
direction when using the Zoom tool or mouse wheel.
Mouse wheel zoom amount
Controls how far to zoom
when using the mouse wheel.
Keyboard nudge distance
Distance the selected
objects are moved when nudging them using the keyboard. See Moving Objects for details.
Paste command moves objects to the current
layer
Pasted objects will be moved to the current layer. Otherwise,
pasted objects will be moved to the same layers they originated from. New layers
will be automatically added if needed.
Show move tool
When editing objects, the move
tool makes it easy to move in a fixed direction: left and right, forward and
backward, or up and down.
Enable fish food in Realtime Walkthrough (Pro,
Architect)
During a Realtime Walkthrough, you can feed the fish by
clicking the left mouse button to throw fish food. Uncheck this option to
disable this feature.
Show print margins in Plan view (Architect)
Dashed lines will appear around the workspace in the Plan view. These
represent the printable area based on the currently selected printer. Anything
outside the dashed lines might get cut off when the design is printed to
paper.
