Undoing & Redoing Changes

Realtime Landscaping features a powerful undo system which makes it easy to experiment. The number of times you can undo is unlimited, meaning that you can undo all the way back to when you last opened your landscape file. If you undo a change that you decide you need, simply click Redo to restore it.

To undo the last change:

1.   From the toolbar, click Undo or press Ctrl+Z.

2.   Repeat for each change you want to undo.

To redo the last undone change:

1.   From the toolbar, click Redo or press Ctrl+Shift+Z.

2.   Repeat for each change you want to redo.

Note that you can only redo a change that has just been undone.

Tips:

To see a description of what undo or redo will do, click the Edit menu. In the following example, selecting Undo will undo a selection, while selecting Redo will redo a deletion that was just undone.

Undo and redo information is not saved to your landscaping file, meaning that if you save your landscape, close Realtime Landscaping, and open your landscape again, you will no longer be able to undo previous changes. This means that it is a good practice to save your landscape often by clicking File and Save. You can also set Realtime Landscaping to automatically backup your landscape designs. For details, see Automatic Backup Settings.
