Using Automatic Dimensions
Creating accurately sized objects is important for a
realistic landscape design. To help you create objects of the exact size you
desire, you can enable automatic dimensions. When adding or editing points, the
distance between the points will be displayed.
To toggle automatic dimensions on or off:
1. Select Edit >
Dimensions or press Ctrl+D.
2. The next time you
add or edit points, the dimensions will be displayed.
Tips:
• When
calculating the distance between points, any elevation differences are ignored.
That is, the dimension displays the length of the line or curve between the
points assuming the line or curve is on a flat plane.
•
Automatic dimensions only appear when adding or editing points. To add
dimensions manually, see Adding a 3D
Dimension.
