Controlling the Terrain Sculpting Order
Realtime Landscaping Pro maintains an internal list of
terrain sculpting objects. Whenever you add a new object, it is added to the top
of this list. Whenever the terrain is updated, the sculpting objects are applied
bottom to top. Sometimes you will need to change this sculpting order to achieve
the desired result.
To bring one or more objects to the top of the
list:
1. Select the desired
object(s).
2. Select Edit >
Terrain sculpting order > Bring to front.
To send one or more objects to the bottom of the
list:
1. Select the desired
object(s).
2. Select Edit >
Terrain sculpting order > Send to back.
You can also select these commands by right-clicking and
selecting them from the popup menu.
In the following example, a rectangular area grader has
been added with an elevation of 4'.

Next, a height map was added using a round shape. Since the
height map was added after the area grader, it appears to "lift up" the area
grader instead of being flattened by it.

The solution is to change the sculpting order of either
object. The following example shows the result after the area grader was
selected and the command Edit > Terrain sculpting order > Bring to
Top was used. The area grader is now applied after the height map.
