Adding a Dimension

To add a dimension to the plan view:

1.   Click Plan to switch to the plan view.

2.   Click Add Dimension.

3.   Click to add the start point.

4.   Click to add the end point. Hold Shift to constrain to a horizontal, vertical or 45 degree line. Press Enter to enter the angle and distance manually. Press Esc to cancel.

5.   Move the dimension to the desired position and click. Hold Ctrl while clicking if you want to immediately start adding another dimension.

Tips:

•      Once a dimension has been added, it can be easily changed. See Editing Points for more information.

•      This and other plan detail can only be added and edited in the plan view. If you want to add a dimension that also appears in the perspective view, use the 3D Dimension object

•      Make sure grid-snap is enabled, or it will be difficult to draw the dimension using exact measurements. See Snap Settings for more information.
