Using Rulers
Rulers can be enabled in the Top-Down view to aid in more
precise measurements. The rulers allow you to move and size objects relative to
a point on your landscape design called the origin. When you move the
mouse in the Top-Down view, the rulers will display the exact location of your
mouse cursor. When you move an object in the Top-Down view, the rulers will
display the distance that the object has been moved in each direction.

To turn rulers on or off: Click Settings, Rulers,
and Show Rulers. Alternately, press Ctrl + R on
your keyboard.
To set the ruler origin:
1.
Click Settings, Rulers, and Set Ruler Origin.
Alternately, click the origin symbol that appears in the top-left corner of the
rulers as shown above.

Position your mouse at the desired origin position and click to set the origin.
Press the Esc if you wish to cancel.
If you wish to reset the ruler origin to its default
position at the top-left of your landscape design, click Settings,
Rulers, and Reset Ruler Origin. Alternately, click the origin
symbol as shown in the image above and click Reset Ruler Origin from the
menu that appears.
