Character Properties
The properties used to modify a Character object are
located to the right of the screen when the character is selected. These
properties can either be adjusted right before adding the character to your
landscape or after it has been added. Below is a description of each available
property in the order that they appear in the software.
Model |
Description |
Model |
The Model property determines the type of
character. To change the character, click the picture that shows the
current character. |
Animation |
Description |
Animation |
The Animation property determines what the
character will do when creating a movie or during a Realtime
Walkthrough. |
Start delay |
The Start delay property determines the
delay in seconds between the start of the movie or Realtime Walkthrough
and when the character appears. |
Preview animation |
The Preview animation property allows you to
preview the animation without creating a movie or starting a Realtime
Walkthrough. The animation preview will only play while the character is
selected. |
Path |
Description |
Closed |
The Closed property determines whether the
character's path is open or closed. |
Loop at end of path |
The Loop at end of path property determines
what will happen when the character reaches the end of its path. When this
option is checked, the character will reset to the beginning of the path.
Otherwise, the character will be hidden for the duration of the movie or
Realtime Walkthrough.
When previewing animations, this property has no
effect. The character will always reset to the beginning of the path.

character's path. See Editing Points for
details. |
Shape options |
Click the Shape options button to
save the character's path, or to load an existing path. For more details,
see Saving and Loading
Shapes. |
Elevation |
The Elevation property determines the
character's height above the ground.
For animations with paths, you can optionally set
the elevation at each point. |
