Adding a Lot Boundary

The Lot Boundary tool can be used as a property line as
well as a tool to section off specific areas of your landscape design. For
example, one Lot Boundary could be used for the property line, another for the
patio, and yet another for garden. Lot boundaries serve as guides and do not
restrict your design in any way.
To add a property line or other lot boundary:
1.
Click the Add Lot Boundary button, which is found near the
top of the screen under the Utilities tab.
2.
Draw the lot boundary by clicking the left mouse button to add points. Press the
Backspace key to remove the last point added, or press the Esc key
to cancel. To enter a survey bearing, place at least one point and then press
the Enter key. See Entering Angle
and Distance for details.
3.
To finish drawing the lot boundary, place the last point on top of the first
point. Alternately, right-click to place the last point.
Tips:
• Lot
boundaries can be added in either the Top-Down view or the Perspective view, but
are easiest to create in the Top-Down view.
• The
Lot Boundary tool is similar to the 3D
Dimension tool.
• The
default style for a lot boundary is a dashed brown line, but this can be changed
if desired. For example, brown could be used for the property line, and green
for garden areas.
• Lot
boundaries do not appear during Realtime Walkthroughs.
