Scaling Points

The points of an object can be scaled relative to each
other. While this technique is not used often, it can be useful in certain
situations.
Before points can be scaled, the Edit Points
button must be pressed to turn on point editing mode. See Editing Points for more information.
To scale points:
1.
Click the Scale tool that is found to the left of the screen, or press
the S key on your keyboard.
2.
Hold the Shift key and click each of the points you wish to scale to
select them. More than one point should be selected.
3.
Click and hold the left mouse button on one of the points, then move the mouse
to scale all selected points. Alternately, press the Enter key to scale
the points manually.
Tips:
• In
most cases it is easier to scale the entire object instead of scaling points.
For more information, see Scaling Objects.
•
Points will automatically snap to the grid when grid snap is enabled. See
Snap Settings for details.
• The
Scale tool can also be used to adjust Bezier curves. For more details on Bezier
curves, see Editing Points.
