Adding a Sidewalk

Realistic sidewalks are fully supported in Realtime
Landscaping Architect. By default, sidewalks are constructed using standard
dimensions and standard white poured cement. However, both the size and the
material of a sidewalk can be changed to support your design.
To add a sidewalk:
1.
Click the Add Sidewalk button found near the top of the screen
under the Road tab.
2.
Modify the Width property to
set the sidewalk width.
3.
Draw the sidewalk by clicking the left mouse button to add points. Press the
Backspace key to remove the last point added, and press the Esc
key to cancel. If you would like to input the distance and angle manually, place
at least one point and then press the Enter key.
4.
To finish drawing the sidewalk, right-click to place the last point. Your
sidewalk will be created to the left side of the line you have drawn.

Changing the Shape
A sidewalk’s shape can be easily modified after it has been
added to your landscape design. To change the shape of a sidewalk, select the
sidewalk and click the Edit Points button. See Editing Points for more information.
Tips:
•
Sidewalks support automatic curbing, but curbing can be disabled if
needed.
•
Sidewalks can also be automatically added using the Road object.
•
Sidewalks are highly customizable; any material can be used, expansion
joints can be included or removed, and the length, width, and height can be
changed as needed.
•
Sidewalks can be added in either the Plan view or the Perspective view,
but are easiest to add in the Plan view.
